3. Do the bird boxes come with a camera pre-installed?
Yes — every Chickli bird box is supplied with a pre-installed camera, so you don’t need to do any DIY fitting. Simply mount the box, connect the camera, and start watching.
4. Is the camera suitable for both day and night viewing?
Yes. Our cameras provide crisp 1080p colour video in daylight and switch automatically to infrared night vision after dark, so you never miss a moment.
5. How durable are Chickli bird boxes in outdoor conditions?
Chickli boxes are weatherproof, rot-proof, and UV-stable, meaning they won’t warp or degrade like wood. They are designed to withstand the UK climate all year round.
6. Will the camera disturb the birds?
Not at all. The cameras are silent, non-intrusive, and designed to blend into the box. Birds behave completely naturally inside Chickli boxes.
7. What happens if no birds use my box?
Bird activity depends on season, location, and local populations. If birds don’t use your box in the first year, try moving it to a different spot (north-east facing, sheltered, 2–4m high). Many customers see activity in the second year.

8. Where is the best place to install a Chickli bird box?
We recommend positioning your box between 2–4 metres high (1.5–2m for open-fronted boxes), facing north-east to south-east to avoid strong sun and prevailing winds. Avoid placing near bird feeders to minimise disturbance.
9. How do I set up the camera and connect it to my phone or tablet?
Simply power the camera, download the free CamHiPro app, and connect via Wi-Fi. A step-by-step guide is included, and most customers are up and running in under 10 minutes.
10. Do I need Wi-Fi in my garden for the camera to work?
Yes, a Wi-Fi connection is required where the bird box is placed. Most modern home routers reach into gardens, but Wi-Fi extenders can be used for longer distances.
11. Can the bird box be mounted on a tree, wall, or post?
Yes — the box has a universal fixing slot and can be securely mounted to trees, fences, walls, or posts using a single screw.
12. What tools or fittings do I need for installation?
A simple screwdriver and one 5mm screw are all you need to mount your Chickli bird box. Everything else is supplied.

14. How long does delivery take?
We dispatch quickly — most UK orders arrive within 2–4 working days. Express options are also available at checkout.
15. Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We currently ship across Europe and select international destinations. Shipping costs and delivery times will vary depending on location. Please note, you will need a power adapter as all cameras are supplied with a UK plug currently.
16. What if I receive a damaged product or need a replacement?
If your item arrives damaged, simply contact us within 15 days. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.
